the life of a gleek.

Tonight, the Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl XLV (I think that's how you spell 45 in roman numerals) and Glee started back up once again. It was nice spending Super Bowl Sunday chilling in one of my best friends' dorm with her awesome new roommate. However, next weekend Rachel and I are headed up to my home turf in CT and I cannot wait to show her around. I just hope my church's service is up to par with Storehouse - this amazing new church I've been attending since October. Well, I hate to admit it, but I KNOW Crossroads can't compete with Storehouse, but hey, at least I get to see my two best guys in the entire world. I've missed Brian a lot since last seeing him over winter break, but I'm so excited to see Zack again (he's been doing missions work in New Zealand and other crazy countries since September). Now, the only other thing that would make this week start off to a great start is if someone specific agrees to a movie date; I'm even willing to skip swing (now that is saying something). Just so you know, you're not getting anything out of me ;)

humiliation.

That's pretty much it - well what the title of this post says anyways. All I wanted to do was walk away with my head down and crawl under my bed covers for the rest of the day. I think I pretty much blew any chance I had with this kid.

i haven't felt this flustered since the "come down with love" video!

Eastern University is in full swing once again: students hurrying along to class, teachers trying to crack jokes but get a silent response, everyone misses home-cooked food compared to sodexo, etc. However, I'm the type of person who loves the first 2 days of classes to see who's in my class and what it's about, but is ready to go on break right after. This semester is kind of different though; usually, I take a class that I absolutely dread going to every other day, but I'm actually looking forward in attending all of them this semester (it has nothing to do with a really cute guy in one of my classes ;) *hinthint*). Seriously though, along with being friends with Zach again and spending more time with my boys and best girls, I think this semester is going to be one for the record books. You never know what's in store until it happens. I just hope there are a lot of people at swing club tonight so I'm able to test out my fabulous new shoes and start the weekend off with a kick. Although, Jersey Shore is the best back-up plan; not to mention I cannot wait for my first psych class in the morning. That'll wake me up for sure :)

a fresh new start is on its way..

I cannot believe that break is almost over. I literally only have 22 hours or so until I'm back in sweet ol' St. Davids, PA, but I'm so ready to get back to my 2nd home. Tomorrow night, my amazing roomie and I are starting the new semester off right by heading out into Philly's turf and dancing the night away with Pauly D! I really hope we can get in since we didn't buy tickets though.. All I know is that it's going to be a good semester filled with new experiences, romances, and life lessons.
On another note, I am so pumped to leave this house because yet again, my mom is driving me nuts! (especially when she drags me away from the crucial point in the newest episode of my favorite shows). I'll pack tonight after my family dinner; for now, I just want to enjoy my last night in CT.

i'm done.

I'm done trying to find the perfect guy. He's out there somewhere; I just don't want to keep searching for him. I know it sounds kind of cliche, but it's true. I want him to find me.

heading home.

Tonight marks the end of a semester; a semester filled with laughs, heartbreak, and tons of learning experiences. The classes may have been tough, but my friends, nothing compares to a complete self-renewal. I've come to know a new Emily over the past few months; a girl who is not afraid to stand up to people who bring her down and learn to appreciate life as it happens. It's sad to think that only four months ago, all of us Eastern kiddies were excited to launch a new school year and see what surprises were in store. Well, some events surprised us more than others, but there is always next semester to bring things back into circle - or at least make some alterations along the way. Here are some favorite highlights over the past months: hanging out with Allstar Weekend and Action Item three times, becoming incredibly close with my best girls, finally accepting my single status, swing dancing 'til midnight, Eastern basketball games, red flannel pajamas, and many more. However, I'm anxious to see what's going to happen over Christmas break in the oh-so-fascinating land of CT. After all, it is supposed to be the "most wonderful time of the year".

something there.

This afternoon was the first time I played piano since I broke my finger and it felt amazing. I don't think it my high was due to missing my fingers flow across the keys, but more to do with my audience.
